With a focus on people, the report marks a significant milestone as Envision formalizes its approach to employee well-being and inclusion – placing people at the center of its sustainability strategy as a life sciences business. From launching a holistic well-being framework to expanding support programs and creating new Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), it highlights how Envision is building a more inclusive, resilient, and purpose-driven organization.

Kate Martin, Sustainability Manager, spoke with Joanna Chamberlin, Director of Talent Acquisition, who reflected on her experience in recruiting and what makes Envision stand out to current and prospective employees as part of the People pillar.

“Great people attract great people – and that’s a powerful draw. Two other standout benefits are our unstructured paid time off, which offers flexibility for that work-life balance, and the global, multifaceted nature of our business, which provides so many diverse career pathways and opportunities to learn across daily interactions with different parts of the company.”

Envision continues to evolve its holistic well-being framework by expanding support for its people. In 2024, the health and well-being strategy was refined into five key pillars: physical, social, financial, emotional, and professional. These pillars guide efforts to support employees across all aspects of their lives – from physical and mental health to workplace culture, relationships, and personal development. Support is delivered through Envision’s network of Wellness and Mental Health Champions, alongside a wide range of resources available on internal platforms.

Led by the People team, Envision established a global Empowering and Enabling Inclusion Steering Committee and launched several ERGs to create safe, supportive spaces for connection and community. These ERGs, such as those for LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, and women, are open to all employees. They provide safe and supportive spaces for communication, connection, and community building, while promoting a sense of belonging and value.

The report also outlines progress across environmental initiatives, ethical business practices, and community engagement – reinforcing Envision’s role as a trusted partner in the life sciences industry.

This September also marks two major global milestones: the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Global Compact and the 10th anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To mark the occasion, the UN Global Compact Network UK is running a month-long SDG awareness campaign.

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, Envision celebrates these milestones through our annual Sustainability Report, highlighting how we support global efforts toward a more sustainable future using the SDGs’ principles and goals.
